Treasures From the Point is...

...an annual event in Algiers Point whereby over 90 families hold a neighborhood-wide porch sale, usually on the first weekend in April.  Please join us for Friends of the Ferry's only annual fundraiser and New Orleans' largest community "garage sale." 

Algiers Point is located right across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter in New Orleans. Take the Canal Street Ferry and stroll our magnolia-lined streets or take the Crescent City Connection Bridge and load your car with treasures. Either way, it is a lovely day you won't soon forget.

Treasures From the Point is FRIENDS OF THE FERRY'S only annual fundraiser.  Registration fees leftover from printing and advertising costs go toward feeding the ferry crew on Christmas Day.

Registration 2025

  • EARLY REGISTRATION: January 18 - February 13, 2025: $18
  • REGULAR REGISTRATION: February 14 - March 25, 2025: $22
  • LATE REGISTRATION: March 26 - April 1, 2024: $27

​*PLUS for $3 extra, you can have up to 10 words to describe any items not already on our list. 

You can sell either or both days all for one registration fee. 

Directions to Algiers Point

There is a PEDESTRIAN FERRY leaving Canal St. for Algiers Point on Saturday morning beginning at 6:15 a.m.  

(The ferry runs leaves the Quarter side at 1/4 until and 1/4 after the hour and from Algiers Point on the hour and half hour.) Check out NOLAferries.com for a complete schedule and Friendsoftheferry.org for more information.  Bring your bike!!  And your Radio Flyer!!!
